Joel Corey vs Richmond (11 games, ave. 86.5 career ave. 82.1)
Corey remains the top ranking Dream Team player after seven rounds. Averaging 113, and having only dropped under the hundred mark once this season (71 against Sydney), it’s fair to say he’s in some pretty decent form. His return against Richmond last season was 104 and 134.
Prediction: 120
Cameron Bruce vs. Adelaide (9 matches, ave. 88.9, career ave. 79.6)
After a slow start, Brucey is starting to look the goods. Scores of 133 and 131 in the last two rounds has done his average no harm at all. His last 3 matches versus the Crows have produced scores of 132, 117 and 132. His only danger is getting a tagging job on the dangerous Simon Goodwin, but if not he should be in for another big one.
Prediction: 118
Scott Thomspon vs. Melbourne (5 matches, ave 81.2, career ave. 78.1)
Not a great record against his former club, with just the one hundred from five matches, but he’s shown some good form this season, averaging 98.
Prediction: 114
Matt Priddis vs. North Melbourne (2 matches, ave 140.5, career ave. 87)
Coming back into the side after a few weeks off. Just couldn’t go past the stats. A return against the Roos of 166 and 115 from his two previous matches.
Prediction: 112
Smokie: Corey Jones vs. West Coast (9 matches, ave. 66.3, career ave, 68.8)
Classic smokie this week. Jones usually turns it on once a year and I’m betting it’s this week. Averaging only 66 this year, so nothing to go on but gut instincts.
Prediction: 137
Really Smokie: Ben Cousins vs. The Drugs (11 matches, ave. @%$#, career ave. n/a)
Various sources have linked the exiled Eagle to Collingwood. Let’s hope he’s a Magpie next season, so he and Alan Didak can get into all kinds of shenanigans.
